Who has screwed their door panels?

Hey guys and gals. Hope you are well.

I am working on a stereo install, and once again fighting with the door panel clips. After 12 years of stupid door clips on my 77, 91, and 85, I am done with the poorly designed, non functional!

So who has put the screws to them? Where are the best spots and type of screws. Anyone have pics?

Thanks folks

I have them in all 4 corners and clips everywhere else. The screws work for around 3 years before they strip out the door and need a bigger screw.

I do the same. I use self tappers though. Heads painted to match.

I just recently removed self tappers a previous owner put in and put all the clips back in. Doors panels are holding great. I always grab door panel clips when going through trucks at the junk yard, that way I always have them on hand.
