It was all i could do to drill holes in the cab for the visor but thats how it's done, i put a drop of silicone on the hole with some on the threads then the original bolts have a cap that goes on the head.

you are exactly right, the rear wheels are 2nd gen steel with 3rd gen caps.
the fronts are 3rd gen chrome painted black.

I assume you got the bolts with the visor? I don't have any bolts.

I believe the bolts are just hex head metal screws, but the caps are spiecial, i think you could find some chrome ones at ace hardware or on line.

If Ace didn't have them, mcMaster-Carr has a couple of different varieties.

What about Lund? They still make visors just not for a 1st gen. I bet you could get those inserts and the little caps right from them

Have you considered covering the transition line between the two paint colors with an OEM decal? Mother Mopar may still have some of these available.
