Where can I get a 1st Gen Timing Dial
Does anyone know where I can get the correct timing dial for 91.5-93 VE pumps.
The book says says Cummins Tool Division dial indicator part # 3377259 but I can’t find one anywhere. is there another part number a substitute I can get. |
Here's the one I made. Standard MM dial gauge, and an adapter made from a bolt, a piece of aluminum round, and a thumb screw. BTW, VolksWagen VE timing gauge is the same thing.

Did you drill out the center of the threaded rod? Trying to picture how you would get a reading off the cam with a solid piece of rod.

At that point you can put your scratch mark on the pump indicating factory TDC, and modify your timing from that as you wish, ie 1/8" toward the head. |
any VE timing tool would be the same Ken
