Question what exhaust????

ill be asking for an exhaust for x-mas and really dont want to break my parents bank due to having 2 other brothers and the economy being rough..... so to my point i'm lookin for a 4 inch exhaust i dont care about the size of the down pipe or the pipe thru the t-case but i want quality i know cheap and quality is an oxy moron but im sure i can get close so i really dont want them to spend over 400, i would prefer a muffler but thats not super important and i want a set up that meets the bends of the truck dosent rub the frame or rattle... and is pretty simple to insatll.... im also curious to what kinds are out there for these trucks and everyones opinion is important to me so lets hear em and plz help me to find the right one! thanks to all u guys! and by the way i hope everyone has a good x-mas!

warpspeedperformance.com, just get a 2nd gen cat back system. Its cheap, good quality, and fits nicely. All you'll need then is a 3"-4" adapter. I got a complete kit with muffler, 4' DP, and 5' SS tip for $325 for a Dmax. Cant beat that.

I would get the stans down pipe and the next pipe that goes by the transfer case. The rest you can fab up fairly easy. The first 2 pipes are the hardest to make.

i cant really ask my parents to buy me pieces of pipe for x-mas lol all though that would be the cheapest way to get quality..., and i have have messed around with fabbing exhausts on my truck and lots of others im ready for the kit easy install... and that bullydog looks nice just what i want and the price is reasonable but im curious as to if its from the stock down pipe back or what? and how hard the install would be.... will it use the stock hangers? b/c i took them off the truck when i had it stacked...

and no it doesn't rub at all and uses stock hangers, cost about 150 + welding wire and gas, some of my pipe was used

the bullydog system is a dp back system, it does not come with the new downpipe, i got my 4" system for 400 from www.powerbypoole.com call him and tell him what you want, he's a real nice fella and will do you right on the price and makes sure you get everything you'll need.

From the t-case back, my exhaust is 4inch. Havent had money for the full DP and such. But the section of 4" I have now is a 3rd gens factory exhaust. It was $FREE.99. Some people my family knows did a 5" cat back on their 3rd gen and the factory pipes were just sitting in a pile behind their shop. I had to do some cutting and re-welding. Then I paid $15 to a local muffler shop so that the guy could hang all the re-cut pipe and make one final weld for me.

Just a though.

i'd been trying to find that exhaust for a while, and couldn't!! thanks for the link!

I wouldn't buy the complete kit though, the down pipe is only 3in like the factory. For my new truck i'm just going to buy the 2 extension pieces and the tail pipe, then get a donaldson muffler locally and use the factory down pipe. Should end up with ~$250 in the system.

when i decided not to get stacks because i figured it would catch local law enforcements eye i got the bullydog kit and i honestly wouldnt recommend it, the DP is 3in everything else is 4in and you have to cut the pipe that goes after the transfer case to accomadate your length, i think thats because its for both single and club cabs though.

the muffler i got was not a strait through muffler like the one they show in the picture, the intake is on the bottom of the muffler and the exaust is on the top of the other end, really killed my sound! and performance just a bit, compared to the straight 3in pipe no muffler i was running

If i could do it over again i would go with the stans kit, hear nothing but good things about that kit although its like 600 and my kit was 391, maybe you could do some kind of work that will cover the difference for your parents

I ordered 5" from mkopower.com no tailpipe. I had 10% off total shipped for $326. I hope it all works out.
