yea its the line that opens it, when u hit a certain psi it pops the diaphragm and holds the wastegate open

Looks like that nut on the outside of the brass fitting is the adjustment for it. If so, you can adjust when your wastegate opens with it.

yea, like they said it is the vacuum source to operate the wastegate. also, i don't know what type of construction the hose is made out of but things get nice and toasty right on top of the turbo like like. you might want to route it on the under side of the engine.

I dont know what it is but it was on there when i bought the truck about 18k miles ago. Do your alls trucks have this, i thought that the first genns were not wastegated.

No sir, that is not a standard item; someone has put that on.


That must be some good hose to not already be melted; my turbo melted the A/C evaporator-box on my truck, forcing me to build a replacement out of metal.

yea boost actuated, sorry i was still thinking in terms of my old turbo gasser.

i think mine has a banks kit installed by a earlier owner and it has that same blue hose on it. and it is routed over the top and hasn't melted. yet.
