VE pump overhual book

Anybody out there have the Bosch VE pump overhual manual? What about parts information is that in the book? I would like to get my hands on one. I have some of the information out of a b series cummins pump book but I am looking for more detail.

It's been rumored there is one floating around out there. What B series pump book do you have? In my Cummins T&R manual 3666087-01 it mentions a Master Repair Manual, Injector Pumps and Injectors, Bulletin No. 3666037. Do you have that one? I'd like to know what it consists of.

Rumored?

I borrowed and photocopied (gasp) the entire BOSCH VE PUMPS section of the injector pumps and injectors book from an ex cummins tech a friend of mine works with. He wouldn't let me keep it.

I'm sure there's lots of useful information here, but I think one really must have the overhaul book to digest it all. I guess I have 80 or so pages?

The back page talks of MAKE FROM LISTS Or using one pump to make another, apparently the first 7 digits of the bosch # must be identical to make one into the other.

Also there apparently is something called the BOSCH TDI CD for the computer

Heck why do you need the whole book if you got all the info on the VE pump? Does it have a step by step rebuild procedure? That would be cool.

check out "Bosch 'Yellow Jackets' "
"distributor-Type
Diesel Fuel Injection Pumps"
1 987 722 144 ISBN 3-934584-65-9
~$20 at Amazon

very comprehensive, with blow-ups...
but... not a step by step w/ settings

or www.bosch.de/aa/de/fachliteratur/index.htm
or English version here
http://rb-k.bosch.de/en/start/info_main.html

since I'm now 'outsourced / unemployed... I thought I might serve some time at the local Bosch Shop to find out why it cost so much for VE pump rebuilds. I have over 20 on my VW's, so I could save a bundle learning this.

I have thought I might make a pump test stand and power pump with my lathe.

Probably can get the needed components here

surplus center is a cool place, it's 10 minutes from my house. They have so much stuff they don't list it all!

Thats the problem, no rebuild/inspection proceedure, and a description of how the pump circuits work would be nice as well. I used to be a GM dealer master tech/diesel tech, I spent some quality overhual time with roosa master/stanadyne pumps. Once you do one by the book the rest are cake.
