Ve pump is leaking fuel!

It's dripping a lot from the spring beneath the throttle control of it is just a bushing or o ring that needs replaced on the throttle shaft where do I get replacements and how do I get the top on of the pump off?!? Advice and directions are very helpful I have to have it good to go in a couple days! 1992 12 valve 174k miles

After living w hat you're dealing with, I would suggest you 're seal the whole pump. One bad. O ring on a 22 year old ve pump is a sign that all the seals are going bad. You could just repair the offending o ring, but you'll be back at another that's waiting to let go.

I had no place to do the re seal myself, so I paid a shop to do it for me. The rebuild / reveal job you ask about is in the sticky, I believe

There's a bronze bushing and a o ring on the shaft. Replace both, the bushing pressed into the top. I would buy a reseal kit and do every seal you come across while you have the top off. Make sure to note your throttle index marks when you pull the linkage off

also consider doing the governor spring rpm upgrade while your right there, check the sticky
