Put a one way diode in the wire going to the fender marker light. that is where your getting the feed back from.

I have 3"x6" yellow tail lights installed into my front turn assy's.

Great write up, now I know for sure i can take these huge old school cab lights off and replace them with something a little less bulky. If anyone wants some 1993 cab lights let me know.

I still can't figure out what diode to put in.
There's soo many different ones on the shelf I don't know which to get as far as peramiters. I've been looking here as we don't have any electronic stores closer than an hour away. http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Searc...iode&pagenum=0

Any small rectifier diode will work as long as it has a voltage rating (PIV) at least 2 times the voltage you are using it on. You can use either a ceramic or epoxy diode but do not use anything with a name like ZENER of SCHOTTKY attached to the name, as they are specialty diodes.

These would work fine.

This is just an assortment.

I have used hundreds of them throughout the years in circuits I have been working in electronics for so long, the first diodes I used were vacuum tubes.

I bought the lights from Lu's Lighthouse but you can get them at most any local Truck Parts, they have a lifetime warranty, I had a several of them replaced when I found moisture inside of them.

Here are the specs. On this particular lamp.

This looks like I will have some new lights to think about installing on my truck.

Cab Lights can be found here for $10 along with all other markers can be obtained here: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...tm%23rt#Table2

Anyone know if there is something special I have to do to make the markers blink and get brighter for brakes? Or are they built in with that since they are specified for such use? I remember reading something I need to do with flashers maybe?

You need to get the lamps specifically with the High/ Low function or dual intensity like this one

http://grote.com/product.php?product_number=49252

or this one,

http://grote.com/product.php?product_number=54002

These give me some intresting ideas.
http://grote.com/product.php?product_number=01-5445-71

There are also TruckLite, PM I would stay away from the lamps you find at Auto Zone and Pep Boys they are going to be imitations.

Just go to a Truck Parts and see what is on display or look in the catalog, if it will survive on a Class-8 truck it will last on ours.

Here is an excellent source,

Home: www.awdirect.com

Lighting: http://www.awdirect.com/truck-lighting/

I am going to install some of these under the side of mine for the people who continously hide in my blind spot.

http://www.awdirect.com/led-sequenci...l-body-lights/

Also one of the differences between the lights that I have installed and these are mine have a separate ground wire to connect to my grounding harness that I installed, not a big thing but I like to have any array grounded to a central point.

Thanks Jim, there were certain LED's on the site I was referencing to that also advertized as "turn signal/taillight/marker/brake light". So if they advertise this as such, they can work without any special flashers, diodes, etc?
