I have to replace my rear u-joint and I wonder if I can do it myself with out a press? Also does the new one have a zerk?

You do not need a press. You can use a vice or you can use a big heavy clamp. I prefer to use the clamp. But I have a couple of Bessey Clamps and they are THE BEST.

Take your time and think about what you are doing. You do not want any of the needles falling out. I wrecked a u joint once because I had a needle fall into the bottom of a cup, and I got rammy.

Actually, now that I think about it, I like to use grease to help hold the needles in while I'm assembling.

Use your socket set for an assortment of different sized shafts and holes for pressing the end caps out and in.

Good day,
JP.

Get a Spicer u-joint only. Anything less, is. Spicer part number for the rear u-joints is 5-160x. Greaseable.
