turn signal switch

turn signal switch

anyone have any advice for changing mine out? it's the truck in my sig. '90 D350 NV5600 non-tilt column. i've got a steering wheel puller. just wondering what i'll come across, what i should be cautious of and how to attach the lever to the switch hub. TIA

kind of wondering the same thing. my lever is cracked at the base pretty bad and now sometimes the right turn signal comes on at random.

Its a pretty straight forward R&R, they only thing you need to be careful about is to remove the clockspring straight, dont bend or twist it.

If the turn signal - dealer calls it a combo or muli-function switch - is the same as the tilt ones it is a fairly straight forward R&R. You need remove both the top and bottom covers - 4 screws on the bottom piece. The screws holding the turn signal (combo switch) need to be remove using a locking torx bit. The whole unit then unplugs from the steering column and you just replace it with a new one reversing the removal procedure. Dodge/Chrysler used the same unit for years on most of its vehicles. You do nt neeed to revove the steering wheel.
