trans high whining

trans high whining
lately my trans has ben whining in o.d. it gets louder under load like gears makeing noise just wondering if anyone knew what was going to be my problem?auto 4x4 93

Check for metal in the pan and filter, thats a pretty good indication if you have slushbox problems. Sounds like a potential problem with your planetary gearset.
