With a good converter, shift kit, good cooler will tranny hold 400 hp.
Truck is a play toy, does some sled pulling too.

Yes, maybe add a steel front planetary. Not sure how much the stock input will handle also as I never have wanted to test the limits, I am sure others will chime in.

I agree....If you rebuild the tranny get the steel planet for sure. tear the tranny down take the new steel planet shafts and trans internals clean them real good with brake clean and send them out to get cryogenticly treated . Will improve strength 100+% and way cheaper than a billet input shaft. That trans will hold anything you can throw at it !

ive been thinking. what about gettin one made. my brothers race car has a custom built torque convert. could i in theroy take the factory convert and get him to cut it in half and change the converter blade angles to tightin it up? i dont have an auto but ive always wondered.

By changing the stator you are changing the blade angles.
