Time for a trans upgrade

I noticed a shutter in my truck in low and second and figured it was time to do another upgrade. I checked out the Alto Red Eagle trans kits and decided they had what i need. More friction plates and Kolene steels to help keep the temp down while putting more torque to the ground. That's what I needed. I will keep you informed while my truck goes through it's transformation.

Alto Red Eagle is G2G. Good choice.

You decided on a converter yet?

I have been running the precision TC and like it. I just received the Powerpack upgrade for the first and second clutch packs. also doing the overdrive the same way. That way I got all of my parts I needed. Good to know someone else is running it an likes it !

I'm running 6 clutches with 6 steels in the front clutch, 4 clutch/steels in the rear clutch, 6 clutch/steels in the overdrive clutch pack, and the overdrive direct has 23 single-sided clutches (48RE version). All Alto Red / Kolene.

They seem to hold up well.

How much is this upgrade going to cost you? I would like to do the same thing to my truck but I also need a torque converter.

Can't wait to see how things turn out. Good luck on the build.

The total cost on the kit I got is around $300.00 . Another $120.00 in trans fluid. Trans is built and going to be installed in the morning.

Transmission is in and has been road tested. What a difference! Figured it road tested good so I hooked up to the fifth wheel and went camping. Pulled 14,000 lbs. with no problems. The Red Eagle Power Pack upgrades are the way to go.
