throttle cable broke

throttle cable broke

anybody got any info on where to pick up a throttle cable for a 92 250 auto trans. also any install tips. need to get this thing going tomorrow. thanks

Might be a bit redneck but I bought 1/16 aircraft cable in a kit, it came with aluminum crimps took piece connected to the pump drilled a small hole in it strung new cable through fire wall into pedal(through rubber grommet and crimped it off to size and tah dah. I didnt need any tools other than my vice grips. It has bee a week!

PPS: Throttle cable must have been really stretched, it was like I tuned the truck up, as a side note I did a splitshot tuneup, and probably added 150rpm(pulled cable even tighter and added a medium spilit shot sinker to the cable.)
