? for those with auxiliary tanks on 1st Gens.
I don't have those issues by using manual valves.
I have a collection of failed electric fuel valves and I will NEVER use an electric fuel valve again.
I prefer multiple seperate tanks.
One big reason why being that, should one tank get a hole knocked in it, for whatever reason, I still have two other un-damaged tanks to keep traveling on.
If you are way out in no-where-land and something in the road kicks up and punctures your only fuel-tank, you are not going to get far.

I guess everyone has there own way of doin things for different reasons. On an ole Chevy I had dual tanks with an manual valve I mounted in the floor under my legs. It work just fine.
This time I put in a transfer tank and pump the fuel from the 90gal tank into the truck tank when needed. I use a pump and nozel like at the fuel pump. Even with towing I find I need a break before I run out of fuel anyway. The only disadvantage is the tank in the bed. Since the truck is used for towing it really isn't a problem. I am to understand transfering fuel from a tank in the bed to the truck tank is illegal anyway either gravity or by pump. I would check it out before I did it. I do have a couple of buddies that do it but check it out first.
