Yep I looked like a drunken sailor driving home thursday, it was a real white knuckle ride. The pressure wave off a semi was enough to skip me into the emergency lane. Just a minivan was enough to push it aside The truck was all over the road. It would skip around over pot holes and change direction. It was an exhausting trip. When I got home I crawled under the truck and found a loose tie rod adjusting sleeve. Well I HAD to be at work monday so I welded it up. But this didn't solve all the drifting around.

Is there something everything else seems okay as far as steering. What else is there that needs checking. What about the rear suspension is there any wear items that could be problematic.

Check the RAG joing on the steering shaft. If you have not replaced the steering shaft with the Borgeson unit, you should consider doing that.

Did you check your toe after you welded the adjusting sleeve? If your front tires are toed out than it will wander all over the road.

No I couldn't really check anything in the dark I was lucky to get enough heat on it to weld it.
