stock wheel weights

Does anybody know how much a stock steel wheel weighs?

I have found out that alcoa wheels are 19lbs each. Just curious as to the difference between steel wheels.

I have noticed that wheel/tire weight makes a noticeable difference in city mileage and acceleration. Just wondering if it's even worth it to upgrade to alcoas as I have found a cheap set.

Though not a Dodge wheel. The 8 bolt one that I weighed was 31 lbs.
WOW! No wonder that a wheel and tire combo weigh so much!

Thanks for the info. That means by going to the alcoas and 235's instead of 285's I could save 100lbs of rotating weight.

Thats got to make a difference in city mileage I would think. Only question is how noticeable would it be?
