stack box plumbing.

hey guys, i was just wonering if anyone on this site has built a box for their stacks? i did and i used a 5x5" piece of square tubing. i have a 3" 18" long piece sticking through the bed, and it hugs the passenger side frame rail. how did you guys run your exhaust up to the stacks? i was planning on just using a 3" flex pipe but it does not bend enough. does anyone have any ideas, or any pictures of how they ran their exhaust under the bed up to the stacks?
thanks

I'm chopping my old exhaust off right behind the transfer case and am running a 4" flex pipe up to the bed that goes into square tubing that I still need to find.

18" sticking down through the bed? That's why it won't bend enough. I built a set for a buddy and we flexed 4" up but I cut the through bed pipe off 2" below the floor. Or go down to napa and get a short 3" 90*.

i just did the same thing your trying to do now, i cut the whole in the bed right over the stock exaust and ran a 4in 90 then conected it with a short piece of flex pipe. YOu have to put in some kinda flex the stacks are mounted solid and will break cause of exaust shake from the motor. if you need pics i might be able to get you some of mine. feel free to ask any questions i just did mine like 2 weeks ago so

Okay, did you put any extra supports on the stacks other than where they are connected to the box tubing if you used that method? I hope the box tubing won't make them too quiet

my box is 5x5 tubing, bolted to the bed by three legs. out of the bottom of the box is 5 inch, for about a foot, which goes to a 4"-5" adapter...a bit of four inch, which then goes a 4" 90*. connected to that 90* is 2' of 4" ss flex, then 4" straight, dp and turbo. looking to sell mine. $500 takes the 6" gr mitres, box, tubing and flex. -jake
