Speedometer problem

Question Speedometer problem
About a month ago the speedometer quit working in 1991 ram I figured it way the seedometer because the odometer went out about a week before the rest of it quit so I got a used one and put it in and it works when it what to could in be that I got a bad gage or could I have a bad sensor or shout in my wirers what do you guys think?

Check the connection where the wires plug into the vss on the trans.
