Snow Plow

I found another first gen. 4x4 with an 8-1/2ft western plow. Plow is 4 years old and was used by a land scaper less than a year until the current owner got it. I used it only to plow his driveway. Its the type of plow that the whole pump and everything comes off. Does this add or subtract from the value? and How much do you think it does add to the value? The truck is really nice and not a typical plow truck. I don't have much use for the plow but it its there I will use it especally since it all comes off pump and all.

I'd say the plow would add its own fair market value to the truck, give or take. Plows can be hard on trucks...it sounds like it was used commercially by the landscaper, so that engine has seen long hours of relatively low-load/low-temp operation...not good for a diesel. Now, a private owner might take the truck out for a good flogging after plowing in order to minimize the effects of slow, cold operation. A commercial user may not. Just some thoughts.
