Shift cable adjustment advice needed

seems to me sometime last year someone here posted instructions on firming up your tranny shifts by adjusting the cable in or out. I usually print out the good stuff here and place these tips in a 3 ring binder, but I cannot find that one. Can anybody point me the right way?

If you just need to adjust the cable, there is a little clip that flips up and that lets you move the cable. Mine had about an inch of space when I got it. Now has about an 1/8 inch. It did make some difference, it holds the shifts a little longer, especially at part throttle and helped the kickdown. I believe it's in wanna's sticky.
