Sensor?

Where is the temperature sensor located for the gauge on the gauge cluster. Mine stays on Cold and then goes all the way to hot.. and then somewhere in the middle before it goes back to cold.[coffee]

Is it the same as the ambient sensor for the grids?

Not the same sensor. The one for the gauge is at the back of the engine on the drivers side.

Sounds low on coolant.

I agree with 93flatbed, check your coolant. If you have just added coolant, you might have an airlock. Loosen the plug in the front of the head beside the engine lift to bleed the air out and top off with coolant again.

I will have to check that, I'm pretty sure the sensor is toasted though. Getting some quirky reading from it [laugh]

Might just be a bad connection I think that the wire just slips on a post on the sensor. Take the end off the wire and put an eyelet on it and attach it to the sensor with a small nut.
