Saturday Projects...
Well today i got a lot accomplished!!
First my tool box filled up with rain...about 2" to be exact.
EVERYTHING was either rusty, wet or ruined!
So by 12PM i seemed to have everything taken out and either tossed away or laid out to dry. I wiped all the tools down and made sure all the power tools were clean and dry before plugging them in and making sure they still worked(which they did).
Next i decided to fix my leaky cooler line for the trans. Went to Manny, Moe & Jack to get some 1/2" heater hose and some sealant. Sealed the threads on the push-loc adapter and ran a new line from the cool side of the cooler to the return line next to the block.
All seems to be leak free as of now
After that i decided to wrap the exhaust with this stuff called HOT*STOP Fireproofing Tape, i got the stuff from work. It comes in 20' rolls and seems to do a GREAT job at reducing noise and heat under the hood.

i then proceeded to wrap each end tightly with this stainless steel mesh tape and pinned everything in place because i do not want to do this twice

I tried to fix my pyro gauge by cleaning the connections and grounding the analog gauge its self but that didn't seem to help...idk what to do now???
Two weeks ago i covered my headliner with microsuede i got a few years back. Took my time and it came out grea(i think) Also took apart the sun visors and died them black and put a clear coat on top for some shine. Also sanded down and painted the arms they reside on. I think they came out nice also

This is the picture of my turbo setup for now, until i figure out if i'm going intercooled or not. Long overdue for this picture though. Notice the 6" air filter

lookin' good! i like how the headliner came out. that's one of the many details i need to take care of. also, i don't think your turn signal functions very well under the hood

haha yeah. you can almost write notes up there if you needed to.
how was the install of it? did you simply spray some adhesive on the foam (or whatever that crap is) that's up there and stick the suede on it?

well...what was left of the "foam" i simply brushed off with a dust pan type brush and then blew off excess with air gun.
Next i cut the material about 4" larger than needed and laid it over form.
I then folded half over and sprayed both sides with the spray glue. Then i went over the corners with a better spray glue and let everything tack up and applied carefully. Used a brush and my hands to get ALL of the bubbles out. I did the same to the other side.
Then i cut excess about 2" from edge and cut out slots for where the screws go.
Then i sprayed the back side with the good glue and let sit for 30 seconds then folded excess over.
Hopefully it'll stay up, if not either you didn't use enough glue. didn't wait for it to set up long enough, waited too long, or didn't get enough of the "foam" off the cardboard.
Hope that helps :-D
