It's a tough decision. I tend be more of a Curly fan myself. I don't dislike Shemp but I like Curly better.

Not to hijack the discussion, but I have another problem. While the brake pedal feels good and all the warning lights are off, the RWAL doesn't work. When driving around on gravel roads, it doesn't take much to lock the rear wheels up. Even if I nail the brakes on pavement, the rears lock up.

So how do I go about diagnosing it if it isn't even giving me any codes?

Im having a similar issue. I just barely tap the pedal and the rears lock up and do not want to unlock until I've nearly come to a complete stop. Was thinking of bypassing the rwal today to see if I see any change

Brake lockup can be attributed to glossy / polished surfaces or shoes that have been overheated. Soon after I replaced my shoes, and had the drums cut, that issue subsided

x2 I was having that issue last summer. Drive for a few miles and check temp of drums: too hot to touch...there's your problem.

Mine happens when pulling out of the driveway, first couple stops, and then clears up and operates normally thereafter.

Isn't there a residual check valve in the master cylinder? if so it could be hanging up. I know older master cylinders had them on the drum side. I remember guys that went to four wheel discs would take them out.

i have the 98 chevy g3500 m/c and hydrobooster. i know it had rear drums as well, but unsure if it has a RPV in the port or not
