Replaced cycling switch. What temp do you have at the vent?

The system was installed once I moved from SOCAL and needed AC, hasn't been under a tree since the install! But I have put in a boat access panel on the front of the suitcase and it's still clean and clear. I put new foam and duct taped the seams on the vents when it went back in the cab... I've got a finicky vacuum actuator that I have to give some love to though. I call it my weekend truck, drive it all week, and work on it all weekend...

pulled the cycling switch off a junkyard pick in pull... that may be one you have to mod to work a "like type" model that achieves the same effect, the line fitting should be standard it's just if it's a 2 or 3 prong dongle on the end, I can't remember off the top of my head.

It's been 5 years, but these people may still have new ones for less than 50 dollars shipped:

Mine was acting up so I moved it in and out out tube in the pressure line. So far it has worked for almost a year now. there is a special heat conducting grease that is used on the probe, Might be worth a try putting new grease on there before buying a new part.

I have an adjustable fin temp switch in mine. It has a probe that slides into the evaporator, and a rotary dial for cut out temp. Its set to cut out at 32degrees to prevent freeze up. I suppose in drier climates I could set the temp lower, but it works great for me here in Wisconsin. Found it in an everco catalog a few years ago. Under $50 if I remember correctly.
