cab swap - from extended to standard

I went out and measured an extra cab and regular cab chassis (both gas) and it looks like you can easily move the rear mounts forward to accmodate the rear mounts of the standard cab. As you move your extended cab rear mounts forward you approach a dip in the frame rail. My measurements indicate you have enough room to reuse the factory mounts repostioned farther forward. If you moved forward far enough, into the dipped portion of the frame, you could still do this but would have to build a taller bracket to compensate for the dip in the chassis. I went the other way on a 158" Wheel base cab and chassis and their was no difficulty as I was moving away from the frame dip and the long wheel base chassis's length worked to my advantage. Hope this helps.
