Rear end swap and speedometer question

I will be swapping my 3.07 Dana 71 for a 3.54 Dana 70 If I use the speedometer sender that goes with the trans/rear end will the speedometer read correctly? That is If the tires are stock size.

What I am trying to find out Is if the speedometer or the sender is the part that is calibrated so when I put this thing back together I use the right parts. That reminds me I need to fix the odometer.

Thanks

Well it's your speedo that controlles it so focus on that and you should be ok.

Cool I have both so I will keep the parts together. Thanks
I haven't messed with electronic speedometers so I wasn't sure
Most of my cars and trucks have been from the 1940s to the 60s

I still have some 47 to 54 Chevy and GMC trucks. Maybe a 6bt powered pro-street project someday.

Oh and this This is my keeper had it 30 years.

On my '90 RC, I put the mechanical speedo drive back in the t-case wrong. It crippled the speedo, OD, and cruise.

This is one place my primitive thinking has an advantage I will be swapping in a 5 speed and I don't have cruse control. So just my speedometer would be off.
