Really thought I found a 93. Allready sold, I'm bummed.
This one was good enough, and cheap enough, that it would have been a done deal.
http://www.brownboys.net/moredetails...code=brownboys (link is to a 93 250 4x4 auto, power everything, 165k, $8000) I found it last night, called first thing this morning, it's sold. I was planning the 700 mile run for tonight. The frustrating part is, I didn't see this truck when it first listed, (I check autotrader at least once a day for new listings), because the dealer placed the ad in the trucktrader, which is more for commercial vehicles. So the tip is: anybody shopping, make sure to check the trucktrader too. Sigh. Here's a long shot, is there someone near Gillette, Wyoming, that want's to go look at a truck for me? [laugh] Long shot indeed. |
Hang in there Don, there'll be another one. I know, the fever has hit big. :(

I'm feverish all right.
I've been looking casually for some time, and intensely for about a month. Never from desperation, having a vehicle. When I went to Az. last week to see a truck, I think I used up a head gasket on my 318 83 Dodge van. I really, really, don't want to plow money into this van, and tearing into a 200k 318 isn't gonna' end with a head gasket. So all of a sudden, I am a little more desperate, and I only have one decent lead. Wyoming is out (sold), Portland might be in. Anyone in Ca. willing to go to Roseville and club some sense into a dealer so he will drop his asking price $5,000? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...r=&cardist=526 Maybe that is asking a bit much.;) |
I've been going through the same thing for the past two months. They're either sold by the time I get a ride or by the time I get there. Frustrating as hell. [eyecrazy]
