Not to take away from Bruiser's thunder, but you might also check this sticky thread from Jim Lane. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=100449

Well I found out how strong my mirrors are...(the hard way)

1st a few months back I was sitting in turn lane to turn onto my street when a escalade coming the other way was a little close and we hit mirror to mirror.. mine did not move and his exploded..

then last month my truck was parked on side of gravel parking lot and a sheriff drove by with a polaris side by side UTV with a full roll cage on it and his cage hit mirror dead center from glass side.. ripped mirror right off truck and only thing that broke was the mirror glass.

now I am working with the state to try to get them to buy me a new mirror..

but good news is these things are strong as heck

Geez Ken, maybe those mirrors just stick out too far?! That's too bad, but good to know they're strong. I wonder though, is there any working with the state?

Where did you order the mirrors from? Is there a specific one to get or do you just make the shim to level the mirror?

Geno's Garage sells the mirrors. Either heated/electric or manuals. I don't recall how much they're asking for each or a pair but it doesn't take long to find them on their website.
