I picked up some Michelin 9.00R16 military XL's with a Bandag BRM retread on them. They measured out to 36.5" on the tape measure. Took a fair bit of weight to balance but ride smoother than the 285's that were on it. Had to trim the fender flares a little to get them to fit. Photos were taken on a FSR about 5km up the road from where I live. Took them out for a little test on some gravel and rocky climbs. Too dry around here right now to test them in the mud. They look like a tighter fit in the front wheel wells than they actually are, the tires only catch the fender on really hard drops into some of the deep water channels.
