Ooops
Ooops
Changed me oil and my fuel filter for the first time today since owning the truck. Normally I change them as soon as I purchase the vehical, however; after talking with the previous owner, and obtaining his very detailed maintaince log I deiceded to wait until he said it was due.
When I went to chage the fuel filter I did not have any extra fuel to fill the filter with, so I primed it manually. What my OOOPS was, I left the lever in the up position, instead of locked down, which in turn caused fuel to pump out onto the shop floor and then out in the driveway when I pulled out, after I shut the truck off I saw the trail of fuel, baffeled, I started the truck back up, looked under the hood, and figured out my problem..... So i'm left with about 1 gallon less of diesel in my truck, if not more, and a nice mess to clean up.
