You can use just nozzles if you have access to a Pop-Pressure Tester so as to set the injection pressure.

While all the nozzles out there should be identical in dimension, things are sometimes off a little. Watching the gauge on the tester while flowing diesel fuel tells you if you need more shims, or less, under the spring in the injector.

There's a gazillion different shims and combinations of shims available to get all the injectors to Pop at the same pressure. (small thing in the black square)

It is important to have them at pop at the same pressure.

Or you can get complete injectors that are already set-up. (You'll typically have to send your old/used injectors in as Cores so don't damage them).

Dunno. I've looked online and can't find any. Those in the buesness arn't giving up any secrets and seems like I've heard they can be purchased, but they're $4(+/-) each. Seems I recall they can be had in 0.003" increments.
I got lucky and was able to borrow a large selection from a fella.

Nah, My Dad and Brother both have substantial scarring from them or somebody else playing with fire.

Besides, with me being a former FF/EMT-D of 14 years, the wife and both daughters on the same FF/EMS dept still, one the daughters being a 911/EMD op and the other a full-time paid FF/EMT-D . . . . . I'd never hear the end of a "Hey y'all, watch this" . . . .
