new truck! new things to fix!
the truck is a 1991 w350 SRW 5 speed reg cab with 36" stretch. it was bought through a member of TDR who owned it for less that a month here is what i was told. It was a small orange grove truck, extended to haul a crew. the odometer shows 39,XXX miles. the owner told me it worked when he got it and he has driven it about 4,000 miles since it stopped. if anyone knows this truck please PM me with all the info you can, if not i will trust the stories i have been told. here goes with the questions.
1. the truck has some electrical issues... the parking brake and anti-lock light stay on whenever the truck is on.
2. sometimes when the key is taken out the heater fan and power windows still work.
3. steering is very loose and turns a lot tighter to the left than it does to the right.
i'm sure i will come up with more but those are the basics... i drove it home 600 miles without a problem it is non intercooled. also it has 4.10 gears and running 80mph with incorrects tire pressure (didn't check till i got home) i averaged a little more than 16mpg

i found it in the classifieds on this site... i thought the price was very resonable especially if 40k miles is correct. also got a set of 315/75/16's with rims along with the truck.
so the parking and anti-lock light are on.
How does it stop?
does the parking brake feel tight when you push it in?
if not check the drum pads if they are good, and then tighten them manually.
also check the vacume connections to the power brake booster.

I almost got that truck some time ago... I ran into something a little closer and went for it... but that sounded like a great deal. Anyway, I think the brake issue (which also occurs in my truck) may be resolved with a little maintenence (bleed the lines... i have to replace my rotors). Hope that helps.. good luck, and congrats.
