New Tranny...Now need speedometer help!!!

Well the truck has been down for about two weeks. I just got the truck back this evening. The tranny shifts harder coming out of 1st than 2nd or 3rd. The thing I noticed most is how quiet the engine is now! It is amazingly quiet. Listed below is all that was done to it. Let me know what you think.

paper & rubber
clutches
steels
filter
heavy duty converter
low sprag
OD sprag
band
rev.band
OD bearing and plate
interm shaft
support
gov. assy
pr valve

Now the problem is this I stopped at the store came out no Odometer, no speedometer, and it won't shift into overdrive! Any Ideas?

Thanks, Tony

Check the wires at the VSS make sure they are connected. Does your ac work and did it work before? Is the truck charging?

Yes the a/c is working, and the truck is charging. I went back out and poked around....couldn't find anything, took it for a drive, and the speedo is working!! So I would think something is loose.

Thanks, Tony
