Needing more brake help!
Needing more brake help!
A new problem has arised, with the truck shut off and the transmission in neutral, with one back tire off the ground. I can spin the tire freely, with very little resistance, I have someone hold the brake peddle down and the tire stops like it should.
But, after the peddle being held down for a few seconds, I can spin the back tire freely again, until the peddle is pressed a little farther down, then the tire stops, for a few seconds, then it can be spun agian. The whole time, I am not letting off the peddle.
The peddle does not slowly leak downward to the floor either, I have no busted brake lines and the fluid in the mastercylinder does not go down.
So I have no leaks in the system.]
Thanks for any help!!

Sounds like either the RWAL is leaking down (see your previous post), or the master cylinder is leaking internally. You can see which by taking the line that goes to the rears off the master cylinder and putting a plug in the port, then step on it and see if the pedal drops. If it does, you need a M/C. If not the problem is in the RWAL.
Is it possible to do away with the RWAL?
If so, can I just hook the 2 lines together and still have front, and back brakes without the Anti-lock?
I have drove plenty of vehicles without anti-lock, and I like them better without.
Thanks,
Wheelo
