My first dyon run!

I just got done making my trucks first dyno run. I was hoping for over 300hp, I made 402hp and 865tq. That was with a 40% meth mix in the w/m tank. I didn't get a chance to run it on #2 only. I think all mod are in my sig, the only things I did different for the dyno are advancing my pump timing to the head, the w/m mix, and putting a long bolt in, in place of the smoke screw to hold the fuel pin all the way down all the time.

Very nice! What was the correction factor (if any)?

Water/meth is good for a reliable 40 RWHP on my truck, so 360 on fuel is not an unrealistic guess. That's VERY healthy for stock non-intercooled injectors - hence my question about the correction factor.

Yes they are stock injectors, and I have two 14gph w/m injectors. I asked about the correction factor and the lady I asked wasn't sure. I didn't get a chance to ask the guys running the dyno cause they were quite busy, and I didn't think about it till after I was done. We are barley above sea level over here so I wouldn't think there should be one, but I know very little about dyno's.

When I got home I noticed fuel leaking out of the pump top, I pulled it and found that when I put my long bolt in, in place of the smoke screw, I broke my ground fuel pin That was probably allowing my pump to fuel like the afc was removed. It also allowed the pin that rides on the fuel pin to move too far and start leaking Does anybody know if there is a o-ring or a bushing that seals that fuel pin?
I also noticed that I was a gallon low on coolant, and that their was a lot of black soot looking stuff in it. Guess it's finally time to replace the head gasket.
At least I had fun and made good power.

I got the faulty o-ring changed. I think I might accidentally forget to put the afc lever back in though
The only thing left is to change the head gasket If I can find a place to buy one, and some head bolts on a sunday, I should be back on the road tomorrow night.

Too bad on the head gasket.

Correction factor is based on temp, humidity, and barometric pressure. Depending on conditions there may have been a significant correction factor. My guess is that your numbers include somewhere in the neighborhood of a 1.05 correction factor. Good numbers for stock injectors anyway.

Some shops also use a "guaranteed happy customer" correction factor.

You were the first to run - saw your great numbers - but didn't see your truck. It would have been nice to chat for a while. I got there about 10 the best run on the day was an 04.5 809/1566.

I'm gonna stop back by fast specialties tomorrow to get a dyno printout with rpm instead of mph, and I'll see if I can find somebody that nows the correction factor.

Bob I saw the other two first gen's I just didn't get a chance to say high. I'm guessing by the info in your sig that your truck was the blue one. That is a good looking truck.

Yep mine was the blue one. The guy riding with me has a 91.5 350 that we will work on as he as the money. The other one belongs to John Wilmoth a freind - his is mildly pumped up. We'll have to see if we can get some 1st Gen drivers in the area together - lunch or some other get together.

A first gen meet would be a lot of fun, it just has to be after hunting season.

I got my pump back together, minus the AFC lever.

The head gasket is acting like it's fine now, so I'm waiting to pull it till I can get to truck to a shop and have them check the coolant to see if there's combustion leaking in to it.
