Ok. I dont want to turn this into a physics lesson but is it better to have a down pipe that flares instantly into 4" i.e. stans headers down pipe. or is it better to flare down stream into 4". air moves faster through a smaller area... if you pipe was 4" at the start wouldn't it be more volume and not speed?... hmm.... andbody done both and what is the turbo noise difference??

I had 3" down to 4 then 4" from the turbo and noticed no difference other than egt drop.

 

I swapped in a 4 inch DP and left the rest of the 3" system. Being conservative, I saw a 50-75* drop in EGTs under full throttle...
