Same here Luke. I used to park on the snow banks and they would come get me out of class and move it. They said it was unsafe and my truck may roll over. I never got any trouble from noise or burning tires. There sure was lots of that.

In Maine there is a bumper hieght for the front as was said above also. The hieght has to do with the size of truck it is.

I was told when I got my old truck inspected that it went from the headlight measurement (meaning ground to headlight height). I don't know what that is but that's what they measured and I failed, BAD. The bottom of the bumper was 38" so I can only imagine what the headlight was.

Anyway, I do like that bumper.

These trucks are pretty wide. I have a DMI. It is a little skinny on the dodge, but they are wide on chevys.

BTW: does anyone know the height of a school bus rear bumper? I think somebody is just jealous of your truck! I get that a lot.

wow and i thought cali was bad with all the hippies running around reporting people

a CHP actually came to one of our jobsites because a nieghbor had said our truck (95 dodge 2500 'tow rig') was "expelling too much smoke into the atmosphere" after we towed our skid steer away from the site

This certainly used to be the law here in Pa. I parted out an older Dodge a few years ago, and it DID NOT have a bumper installed from the factory. There was instead, a factory licensse plate holder and light assembly attached to the drivers side underbody/frame area, at the back of the truck.

I DO know that older Dodge's aren't required to have 'em, and I believe this still holds true for newer trucks. Just look at all the S-10 guys that have a rear roll pan installed.

That being said....if you don't have a rear bumper, I believe they then use the bottom of the frame rail at tail end, as the measured height. SO....keep that nice new shiny bumper on there, if it make's em happy, and keeps you legal.

yea i dont know what the school was thinking i think they just dont like me. a few months ago i came into school (after the hole bumper insadent) and gave my truck a blurp. not full on wack but a blurp. got sent to the princeble because my truck may back fire and people may think its a gun going off.(and this is from a technical school that teaches a diesel class). and the other kids bounce thier little ricers cars off the rev limiter with out ever getting talked to. sounds real fair dosent it.

Just take you truck and start running stuff over your gonna get in trouble no matter what right. Might as well give them something to complain about since they are gonna do it anyway. hahahahaha
