How do you order from them ? or is this only available through a chrysler dealership ?

I know what you guys are thinking that I should just use silicone! But I have installed 3 sets of these lights in cabs already! The factory gasket is preatty thick and squashes flat to seal out water! For anyone that thinks they will want to install factory lights in trucks in the future time is running out on these gaskets. Call your buddy down @ your local dealer and tell them to order you 5 just to have as spares if nothing else! What if the bulb blows in one of your existing lights! Without a new gasket you will be forced to reuse the old squashed gasket with silicone and hope water stays out! My dad and I are constintly calling about factory parts for our First Gens. You guys would'nt believe how many parts are being discontinued daily! They just came back out with new throttle cables for our diesel trucks about a year ago. For almost 6 months they were not available! They are not available threw Napa or any other parts supplier either! If yours breaks a year from know will you have a spare? If we continue to buy from our dealers they will continue to make and suppy! Alot of people do not know that alot of items are still available threw our dealers! I read an ad someone had on here for used door arm rest. These are available new from Dodge! Why buy a worn pad when you could have new! I bought a parts manual for our trucks fairly cheap off of Ebay. I am constantly reading threw it looking for parts that my brother, Dad, or I have had to replace on one of our trucks the last 16 yrs. For some darn reason no one else (Napa, autozone, advance, ect) makes or carries our parts. I am a forklift mechanic at a food distribution center in MD. I understand the difference between aftermarket parts and OEM! I want OEM, I agree somethings it doesnt matter. But in most casses OEM Mopar parts just work and perform better than aftermarket. Another example is emblems, I have bought emblems new off of Ebay in the past. PowerRAM 350's. These are no longer available! But PowerRam 250's are! Once these are gone, they are gone! Believe me for my 1992 Ramcharger its worse! I cannot buy a throttle cable or emblems for it. Please dont think I am trying to gripe! I am just so frustrated I cannot buy what I want and need! Another example is our beloved factory dash mounted tachs! These were discontinued in 1996! If we had kept buying them then they would have made them longer! But then no one wanted them, now look at how hard they are to get and how exspensive they are buy! Does anyone else get what I am trying to say! I love first Gen's so much! I am like a little kid everytime I see one on the road to see how many miles are on it, whether its a 5spd or auto. And so forth. Between my dad, brother, and I we have 5 First Gen diesels, a 92 Ramcharger, and a 1992 D150 gas. Lets keep these things going!

P.S. My dad is actually looking for another! He is looking for a 4x4, 5spd, CC, dually like mine. Anyone in the WV,MD,PA area no of one for sale? Rust and mileage isnt a concern. But price is! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks and God bless. Robert
I was talking to a fellow 1st genner the other night and we were discussing this same topic but what we should do is buy all the molds and blueprints for our trucks and start remanufactring them so we will never run out cause they must have the modls and blueprints somewhere right? and I am the same way I see one and immediatly go talk to the guy and ask about the truck how many k's what he has done to it I love these old beasts!

two years old or not the parts are drying up big time. I have a great dealer(good enough I use him instead of the one I work for in the summer) that enjoys looking up old parts but doesn't come up with much for the 4x4 more stuff seems to be around for the 2wd. I have noticed in the last year or two it's getting much worse quick.

These relays can be bought on line (the original parts, just not from Dodge) They are made by White Rodgers or something like that. you can get them from Grainger as well for a few $ more.
I just replaced mine

The driver side isn't made of unobtainium but the passenger side is. In other words, the driver side is still available but the passenger side is discontinued. I picked one up a couple of months back. There were 8 listed at a dealer in Texas including the one I ordered. I called yesterday about a new set of body mount insulators for my cab. Oddly enough the uppers are discontinued but the lowers are still available. I ended up buying a full set from Energy Suspension.

This partially revived thread got me thinking the other day...

Since parts are constantly being discontinued by (formerly dodge) for your trucks (mine too), I though if I could order something that I would have, for when mine craps out... as they all do..... what would I buy first ?

So I called the FL dealer I buy from , and ordered a new throttle cable. Considering it's soon to be discontinued (as by the fact that there was only one that they could find anywhere, in any regional warehouse, I ordered it and it came about today.

So, when mine breaks, I'll have a spare to get me back up for another 20 years.#52078775

Funny part is that the part is packaged in a blister pack that says "made in the USA, while directly on the cable itself, is a yellow sticker that says Made in Mexico..

Are we part of mexico, or is mexico part of us ?

So, what are you guys hoarding ?
