Too warm and sunny down there for her? She coming to stay or just a visit?
Mine is a picture of bamboo. It's laminate, compressed sawdust, padding on the back of it. This stuff is reusable. It was in mom's old house in NC. She did engineered plank. Real bamboo is soft unless you install "stranded" bamboo. I did flooring for 20+ years. I am sure something better is out there by now. LVP is water proof.
She is moving here. Gave one month notice at her accounting job on 12/2. 12/31 is her last day. Wedding is February 14th. Then the immigration process starts. She might end up working remote for my sister. My sister works for a high end custom builder in Naples Florida. She can't get decent help. I can retire and build a house. Add on to my tiny shop.
Wondered how they made bamboo hard. When you get a free weekend you can come up here and install ours. Bring a trailer and we'll send you home with a Dodge vehicle of some sort (I quit counting at 30...).
Sounds like you've got a busy 2025! Congrats brother! Nice idea getting hitched Feb 14th, surely you'll always remember your anniversary that way. Hope the immigration process goes smooth with the new admin...
Before I flew to Medellin back in July the night before she left we were out watching the sunset. This briefly appeared in the sky. I got her a heart shaped diamond engagement ring. Allie has never seen cold weather. Prediction for the 10th of January, 30 for a high and winds out of the Northwest! Temps for Medellin stay 63-93 in the "City of Eternal Spring."
Dang, that is cool! A sign that you all were meant for each other. Well except for the you bringing her to the frigid north. Could be worse, at least she doesn't have to live in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont!
Hey guys, it's been a while, it's comforting to see some of you are still on here, hopping y'all had a nice Christmas, still have the old girl ( truck ) and wife to.......just turned 186k miles...(truck again). Just a bullet proof old machine, other than blowing heater cores, must have a week HG, it only happens at 40ish lbs boost, I guess I need to act my age while driving.
