Faith (Wannadiesel) is the Administrator who volunteers to spend her free time on this site to watch over the 1st Gen Forum as well as others, and assist members.
She has >21,000 posts here.
Most of them were assisting folks with "personal issues" when their truck wasn't up to par.

No member is required to read, or post on every thread on the site.
If the particular subject matter that you selected doesn't appeal to you, or you don't agree with it, click the browser back button and click on a different topic.
Pretty much every thread on this site is 'sombody's personal issue' in their life.
Some issues are truck related.....some not.

 

wow, doesnt change a thing in my book! Im not one to judge so good luck and god speed. Ill still need questions answered and you always seem to have those answers so I dont see why there would be a problem.

I just read through all these posts and am getting more and more upset. This site went from great to offensive faster than a Sheid truck in the 1/4 mile.
I believe Dave's post violates the long standing charter of this site to keep political and religious stuff out of the main posts. Since Larry has allowed this thread to remain, I can only ascertain that this site is now something other than what it was. Morally I cannot agree with the NEW charter of this site, so I am in a quandary. I have received (and given) lots of great support over the past "nearly" seven years, and I am reticent to give it up.
Above all, I am very sad.

If, the placement of this thread offends you that much, then maybe you just need to move on down the road. If you need a little help, let me know, I'll oblige you. Or, you could just not bother to post in this thread if it's such a big deal.

We, as a collective, decided that since Faith has attende so many events, and has been such a big part of the 1st gen crowd, that she needed to let eveyone know ahead of time, instead of just showing up somewhere as Faith. More accurately, she decided this, and we backed her.

As far as this post making you mad, just don't look at it anymore. You know what the subject point is, there is really no more information that is going to be posted besides discussion.

If it bothers you to the point that you have to leave the forum, we are sorry, and we don't want it to come to that. Not everyone has to agree one everything, sometimes we have to just agree to disagree.

While I personally cant imagine what your going through I admire your courage and am sure it will all come out good in the end. If someone wants to be so closed minded that they get upset about someone elses PERSONAL decision that truthfully has no effect on them what so ever then they have some issues them self they need to take care of. I can't even begin to express how much admiration I have for what you've done. In my opinion you've absolutely made the right choice, and we should all be grateful that you have enough love for this forum to share something so personal and emotionally charged.

You've helped me out personally several times, and I have a great amount of respect for your technical ability. Now, I can honestly say you are one of the most courageous people I've ever known, especially in the face of overwhelming ignorance and hate that exists in this world.

To the point: for the last 9 years Faith has been the heart and soul of the 1st gen forum working tirelessly on a volunteer basis in an attempt to help people like you.

During that time she has been nothing short of professional and courteous to all she encountered here, a real shining star of FREE information for people just like yourself all while helping me to provide this valuable forum for your use FREE OF CHARGE.

Naturally working this closely with her she became my friend, both because of the way she helps people here and the way she makes my job easier by handling the 1st gen forum and it's issues.

You are correct I have allowed this thread to continue here but you are wrong in the reason why. Faith is my Friend and I don't know how you roll but I DO NOT abandon my friends when they are going through a tough time.

This is not easy for her and she knows she is opening her self up for abuse and ridicule from those who do not have enough intelligence to wrap their minds around the simple fact that she just wants to be happy. She wanted to make this thread so that she could continue to be 100% upfront and honest with her friends here, not because she wanted to hurt your feelings in any way.

I agreed to let her do so and I will continue to stand up for her here no matter what you think about the subject because it is the RIGHT thing to do period. Like I already stated, I don't have to understand how or why this is happening, I just have to give Faith the respect she earned from me and you, even if you are not bright enough to understand such a simple concept.

Nobody is asking if you like it, and frankly nobody cares one way or the other if you do or don't as that was never the intent of this thread. This is once again Faith being more concerned with the members here than herself and wanting to give you folks the opportunity to know the truth, instead of hiding it from you.

Jack Nicholson had a line in a movie that I find very poignant at this moment..."The Truth?...You Can't Handle the Truth!" obviously some of you can't and I can only feel sorry for you. I removed the mute another Admin placed on you because I am trying very hard to allow you people to have a chance to question or discuss this if you need to do so. Find a way to make your comments in a respectful manner or I will not hesitate to remove you from the forum.

Several people have made it quite clear they do not like this whole thing in this thread, but they have done so in an adult manner, you should be able to as well.
