leaky box

Ever since I changed my steering coupler my gear box has been leaking badly. I've tried the stop leak stuff with no success, so I think it's time to pull it apart. Is it very complicated ie. special tools etc? I know Napa has a rebuild kit for about a $100 but has anyone done just the seals and if so where can I find them? Any advise is much appreciated. Cheers jw
