leaking injection pump

Any of you guys have this problem?
My 92 D250 CTD is dribbling fuel. It seems to be coming from the throttle shaft part of the pump. The linkage and throttle return spring under the TPS is wet with fuel. It's leaving a 4" wet spot when I park the truck.
Is this a common thing? What's the best way to fix it?

My poor widdle truck has had a hard life, but this is my first fluid leak (253,000 miles) and I'd like to take care of it asap.

Mine did the same thing. Order a gasket kit for your vE pump...

VE Gasket/Seal Kit
Part # DGK121 (Bosch) expect to pay around 15 bucks.

while your in there, you might as well install the 3200 gov spring.

The link above shows how to install the gov spring and for your fuel leak, the steps are pretty much the same. You still have to tear the pump down that far to replace the leaking oring and brass bushing on the throttle stem.

Does the bushing come in the kit?

The brass bushing does not come with the kit. Some have repaired the throttle shaft leak without messing with the brass bushing.

I called a few places on Saturday but nobody knew anything about a seal kit. Do I need to call Cummins?
No luck crossing the part number either.

You need to find a Bosch authorized pump rebuilder. AFAIK Bill gets his stuff fron Schied's in Indiana. They will ship, so call them if you get stuck.
