Atlas Spring built me a custom set of rear springs, all made in house using domestic spring stock.

I put SkyJacker springs on mine. Alcan is also another option, the will custom build them for you also, they have a form online you can fill out and then they will give you a quote. The more information you can give them, the better. http://www.alcanspring.com/

I stuck with OEM springs. Might surprise you how little lift or extra travel can play havoc on your drive line, especially in the front.

Spend the money, do it right. Lift kits get a bad reputation when folks do them cheap and don't correct driveline angles.

No lift kit for me. If anything I'd lower it. Lol. I'll just leave it stock ride height

Longer springs ride better. Its worth considering if your hangers are rotten and need to be changed out anyways.

They started out that way, they just got worse and rougher riding over time.
When I made my front hangers I made them to do the 52" Chevy rear spring swap later on If I ever get around to it.

If you are looking to improve ride quality, I wouldn't waste your money on OE replacements, take a leaf out of your rear packs, make sure the shackle bolts aren't rusted to the sleeves in the bushings and install a better seat if you still have the factory bench.

Like some of the other guys mentioned get some longer chevy springs, that would be the best if you don't want to put in a lift kit.

Install spring tip isolators (bushings),

Instead of the spring tips grinding against each other as the truck rides, they slide effortsly giving you a better ride.
I also installed hydraulic shocks.
