King pin question

Got the bottom ones out like Mark instructed having a hard time holdin the axle to get the top ones out.

try heat and pb blaster, you may be dealing with a little rust....you'll get 'em...Mark

I was being serious my second vehicle is a Ford Ranger don't know if that will work but probably gonna try it. Ill let you know what I came up with. All ideas are appreciated.

i don't see why it wouldn't. it should be heavier than the pressure it will take w/ a cheater bar to break the kp's loose

Here's a couple pics. Decided the kp's were questionable enough to go ahead and replace them. And the other pic is what i like to call a little redneck ingenuity and it worked like a charm. Everyone can feel free to use this perfected method at their leisure. This just goes to show there's more than one way to choke a dog besides on butter.

I the one learning so I would say im the one that don't know much I was about to let them slide til I started talking to you guys. Thanks a bunch maybe one of these days I can pass the along some info that might help somebody else.

I'm going to chain my wife to the pole out in front of my house the next time she give's me any backtalk..

BTW,

What size is the allen wrench, or that special tool that you guys used in the "removal process ?

Would like to eventually do my KP's, and I don't think I have an allen that large.

T, IIRC it's 7/8th" hex. Some guys just chop a hunk off of stock...Mark
