Killer B2 hitting the exhaust
Killer B2 hitting the exhaust
I just started wirking on installing my HTB2 64/14 and I noticed that the compressor hit's the exhaust manifold. My manifold is flipped for to work in the Ford it is in. Any of you guys have this problem?
Any one know where to get a decent spacer?
Thanks
Brenden

89 Ford is same cab as 88 Ford, isn't it??
My cousin's 88 Ford has an 89 Cummins with the manifold and turbo in the original Dodge position.
Also, my 85 Ford also has an 89 Cummins with no exhaust modifications.
I would sure like to see some pictures of your truck, to see the differences of having the manifold flipped.
My turbo just barely misses my A/C air-box, but an application of that outer-space heat-shield stuff has prevented any problems.
Thanks.
I will have to see if I can find any pics of my setup. I would just take a picture but I just took it apart
I was running a HX40 but it was a stock one. It didn't have the waste gate modified like the after market ones do. I had to flip it to make it clear the AC. It fits much nicer flipped.
This new turbo is pretty fat so it going to be a tight fit with a spacer.
Thanks Brenden
