K&n ??
K&n ??
Before anyone gripes about the K&N, I have been running it vs. a BHAF for years now. I have never seen any oil, dirts, etc on the turbo fins, at all! My only ? is when I clean and re-oil the filter, how do I know if I am getting enuff oil on? I really dont wana over-oil it and risk my turbo life (but I got spares). Says to give it a uniform red color, and I always do, just dont wana hurt anything. Or should I just get an outterwears and run my BHAF, but my K&N does way better. And I dont wana splurge for an AFE, etc if I dont have to. Thanks, sure this will create some contraversyyyy. Jeff

It's easier to use the aerosol oil but the non-aerosol is more accurate.
Place a bead of oil on the top of each pleat. Wait a while and look at the filter media. Any spot that is lighter colored than the rest needs a bit more
oil.

Thanks I got aresol and the instructions and have done it a few times before, I just wana make sure I am getting enuff oil on it with out risking leaving oil all over the fins on my turbo ( as has been reported before with K&N). Sure cld just get a diff filter, but this one runs much better, without giving me a dirty turo, so maybo I am doing it right. Thanks for the reply tho, all help is great help, Jeff
