Joining the herd...

Greetings!

I'll be picking up my first CTD later today! Found what I think is a good deal (great for NC) on a '93 D350 LE Club(?) Cab, auto @ 154K and UN-modified AFAICT. Exterior is decent for the age (painted last year) and the interior is great, sans the drooping headliner... Can't wait to get it here (100 mile trip) to see what prep it needs to tow my Jeep. Thanks to Bruiser for some much appreciated tips & pointers before I crawled all over/under/in/around it for 3+ hours on Wednesday... can't wait to start. Might even be able to "bait" Bruiser & BigWaylon into holding my hand thru the first steps?

I'd recently sold a '92 F250 4x4 7.3L NA (gut feeling told me it was about to get VERY expensive & was a total dog on grades) to make way for a new towrig... planned to go BBC gasser, but the recent fuel price "whammy" spooked me back into the diesel lane. I looked at 15-20 trucks in the past 2 months, waited for the right deal to come along, and I'm glad I waited!

Immediate plans are to work on small non-drivetrain issues (stereo & CC defunct, fab a tailgate), fluid/filter changes, fine tuning (throttle throw, TV cable adj., etc), but would like to bump the power (3200 GS, IP tweaking, etc) within reason of the slushbox capacity... the 80gal. bed tank is slated for WVO at some point. Pics later this weekend. The verdict is out on the single 6" stack... seemed pretty loud for long hauls, but if it irritates my wife & neighbors, might have to STAY!

Cover me, I'm going in...

Pix...

Does the DP look to be OEM or slightly larger? Seems the OEM DP didn't flare after the flange at the turbo?

Would have been nice! No, we stopped off at my brothers house and picked it up going thru GSO... since this was supposed to be "get the new axles under the Moss weekend". We did manage to get the front axle done (not bad considering the short time we spent working)...
