Intercooler coupler?

I am going to upgrade the rubber boots on the IC plumbing soon. I have noticed some guys have staight couplers and others run the "hump" style. What are the pro's and con's of each?

The "Hump-Hoses" work good in instances where things need to flex. Such as in a 45* or 90* angle.

In my mess, this one also helps accommodate stretching and compression as the engine torques over. ~

It could be said they are a little more forgiving.
