Injectors are in!

Tonight was the night!

I decided they needed to be in. I got my PW injectors from Rod and Wildcat. When I took my old injectors out, I do not know how my truck was running. The carbon buildup on the nozzle is so bad that on several of the injectors I cannot even see the holes. On the others, I can see 1 and on one injector, I could even see 2 holes. :

Tomorrow am I will bleed the lines and give her a test drive. This is going to be just like driving a new truck! ;D

IMy M370 injectors were only in for 3k miles and they were like that : you should have seen the 300's I had before.

Re:Injectors are in!

HeberRam turned me on to Howes Diesel Additive after his experience with them and how clean his injectors were. After running the PODs for 15k (which outflow the 370's in stock form) I pulled #3 and #4 out to inspect, they were very clean, not even enough carbon on the tips to speak of.

However, the stock injectors that were pulled out were VERY bad. Just soak them in parts cleaner and you will be fine.

Re:Injectors are in!

Got the lines bled and she fired right up.;D Went out for a litttle cruise around the block before taking off for a family day at the zoo. Got on the pedal and the boost hit 18psi easily. Mind you, the best I could do previously was 16psi and that was up a steep hill. Now, ehre I am just getting on it stop sign to stop sign and hitting 18.

Came back from the zoo and did a few pump tweaks. Just the usual ... smoke screw, fuel pin and star wheel. Haven't even touched the full power adjustment yet. A quick spin and hit 20psi. 8)

So why did I put up with such crappy performance for so long? :-[

Tomorrow I will really get it out on the road and see how it does.

Thanks for all the insight and tips I have picked up from here.
